Hockey Excellence
Are you aged 4-15? Do you like what you see and want to begin your journey in your ice hockey career? There is no better place to start than on our hockey excellence courses. The courses are 6 weeks long and are £66, the course consists of 1 hockey excellence session per week. The session lasts for 1 hour and covers everything you need to know about ice hockey, it takes you through the basic fundamentals of playing ice hockey. There is 8 grades all together within the course, the grade you are given is based on where the coach thinks you are at on the grading criteria. At the end of each 6 week course once you have passed through all of the grades you will eligible to join the wild academy which is our junior system at the rink. The Hockey excellence sessions are on Thursday’s from 18:15 till 19:15. There are free hockey excellence vouchers in circulation and if you are lucky enough to have one of them then you can come down to one of the hockey excellence sessions free of charge. These Hockey excellence sessions are run professionally in order to maximise your improvement but they are also run so that you enjoy yourself while learning to play the sport you love. Hockey Excellence
Aged 16 or above? Want to ‘Try the Fastest Team Sport on the Planet’? Then get on our Senior ice hockey basics session where you can learn the basics to playing ice hockey, improve yourself and keep active and healthy. The session is on a Sunday and starts at 19:15pm and runs for an hour finishing at 20:15pm. Equipment that you will need is provided but you are encouraged to begin to get your own kit if you want to stick with it. At just £8 per person the sessions are well worth coming down to. The Training sessions will consist of a warm up, then specific drills to target certain aspects of the game such as passing, shooting, skating and stick-handling as these are all very important in the game of ice hockey. This session is coached professionally and the goal is to get you ready to play for a team whether it be recreational hockey or maybe even to league standard.
