The Wild Academy junior teams continued their winning start to the season with wins for both the Under 12 and Under 18 teams at the weekend.
The Academy Under 12 team picked up a 4-9 win away at Hull on Saturday with the Widnes goals being scored by Evan Walker (3), Caleb Eddleston (2), Jacob Foster, Oliver Kitchen, Elias Boardman & Heiko Petrusevicius (all 1).
The MVP award for the game went to Kian Liversage who is usually an Under 10s team player but was playing up a level for this game and this meant that he was able to play on the same line as his older brother Ethan for the first time in a match.
Also on Saturday, the Academy Under 18 team beat Sutton Sting Under 18s 4-2 with the MVP award going to Cody Ogden.
The Under 12 team are at home to Billingham U12s this Saturday 22nd October at Planet Ice Widnes, 4.20pm face off, with the Under 16s taking on Sutton U16s straight after at 5.45pm.
The Academy Under 18 team are away to Nottingham – also on Saturday, 5pm face off.
Admission to all Academy home games at Planet Ice Widnes is free and spectators are encouraged to come along and cheer on the stars of the future.
