The Wild’s last home game of the regular season – against Solihull Barons on Saturday 25th March – will be a special Halton Haven night, in aid of the Runcorn based hospice, which is the Wild’s chosen charity this season.
Volunteers from the Hospice will be in attendance at the game and there will be a bucket collection and fundraising raffle.
The Widnes club are very keen on community involvement and have supported numerous local charities and good causes over the years.
This season, as well as their main charity partnership with Halton Haven Hospice, they have hosted fundraising and awareness events for, among others, Merseyside & Cheshire Blood Bikes, Team Mind mental health ice hockey team and have also been collecting for Deeside Dragons player Josh Richardson who is in hospital in Thailand after being seriously injured on holiday.
