Time To Go Wild Radio
Don’t know your blue line from your red line? Or just what icing is? Or even why the YKK Widnes Wild has so many ginger players? Time to Go Wild Radio has all the answers.
Developed as a bespoke radio show by the Widnes Wild, the show can be heard on Monday evenings between 7-8pm on Halton Community Radio on 92.3FM, at www.hcr923FM.com, via the TuneIn app or below through the linked player. A podcast will also be produced from each show which can be heard on the Widnes Wild YouTube channel.
The one show is designed to educate and inform people about the world of British Ice Hockey, in an entertaining, easy-to-listen to style complemented by an eclectic soundtrack. As well as featuring ice hockey the show will promote all local sport and community initiatives.
Hosted by Colin Ellis as well as weekly guests, interviews and random musings, the team brings a wealth of personality, knowledge and experience as they wax lyrical about all things ice hockey and Halton, giving listeners insight into a sport they may have previously known little about and promoting the community the Wild are very proud to be a part of.
Colin Ellis said:
“The show will feature a weekly roundup of ice hockey information primarily featuring the teams playing out of Silver Blades Widnes (Widnes Wild, Widnes Wild Women, Widnes Wildcats, Riverside Raiders, Halton Huskies and the Widnes Wild Juniors) featuring studio guests and the opportunity for listeners to ask question either via e-mail, Twitter, Facebook or by telephone.”
“Whether you’re looking for something enjoyable to share with friends at the weekend or an sports junkie, Time To Go Wild Radio will help guide you in the right direction and provide your with off the wall insight into Ice Hockey and Halton sport,” added Colin.
This is simply another example of the club looking to break the traditional methods of engaging with sports fans and introducing new fans to the club.
